Jesus - The Savior | ||
|
Jesus, the second entity of the Trinity, is the Son of God, more accurately God that became the representative man so a new and everlasting covenant can be put in place on the cross at Calvary to rescue man from sin and death that originated through the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden. Because Adam disobeyed God, man was tarnished with sin and came under the influence and control of Satan. As a result of what Adam did, Satan won the legal right to rule the earth and that was unchallenged by Jesus when Satan took Jesus up a high mountain and showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time and said to Jesus (Luke 4:6 KJV) " I give thee and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it ". God was very grieved by what Adam did and sought to rectify the situation in a legal way. It has to be a legal way because God is just and He cannot compromise that quality of His. With every human being tainted with sin through Adam, the sacrifice required to undo what Adam did has to be someone without sin. That is why Jesus's conception was divine (not through man) so His blood is pure. When He was crucified on the cross, He was made that sacrifice for you. Isn't that beautiful? The best part is that after 3 days He rose again having conquered sin for all time. In other words, He paid the ultimate price to buy you back to Himself and if you are the only person here on earth that has to be rescued, He will still do it because of his great love for you. Satan's control over you has been destroyed legally by Jesus through His death and resurrection. Can you imagine God the Supreme Being and Creator of the Universe sacrificing himself for you by dying on the Cross? Wow that is awesome! He has to love us immensely to do that. There is no greater love than the love of God. There are two teams that you can belong to: either you are on Satan's team or you belong to God. Basically that is what it boils down to. Be on the winning team and have all of God's promises fulfilled in your life. He does not care what a mess you have made of you life. The most important thing to Him is that you are bold enough to say "Sorry" to Him for what you have done. Are you prepared to do that? If you are, say the Prayer of Confession and get to a good church near where you live. |
